More and more botnets based brute-force login attempts are seen lately (2013).

To add a captcha for the admin login form you can do the following :


  • Active the Captcha Code plugin.

  • Check whether you can configure it right away.

If you get the frontpage or get logged you might need to temporarily disable a firewall plugin,
and enable the firewall plugin again after configuring the Captcha Code plugin.

  • Configure the Captcha Code plugin. It makes sense to enable only the admin login part
    and not for comment forms, to prevent possibly problems with other captcha or anti-spam plugins
    for comment forms.
